Pre-Invitation: K-Night (안녕) the 2nd Anniv.


안녕하세요 여러분 (annyeonghaseyo yeoleobun) this would be a very quick invite to all the viewer's, to come and be part of a night of musical performance that will set to mark the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) 2nd Anniversary. Themed as “Korea Night” that will be held at SM Mall of Asia, Center Stage on July 19, 2013.

I (yours truly) would be definitely be there to support the event and fort coming KCC's activities. Performances in the Korean Night will be headed by the 2013 K-POP Cover Dance finalist.This would also be the final night for the local cover dance groups to compete and the winning team will be sent to Gangwon 강원도, Korea to compete with the representative cover dance teams from around the world.

Also to be held is TAL Musical, a nonverbal performance that fuses the Korean Mask tradition with Taoist-based Taekwondo Martial Arts. The TAL Musical will feature a fantastic story harmonized with the Korean traditional dance and Oriental drumming. B-Boy, the current cultural icon of the youth in Korea, will also be there to perform. Earlier, the KCC held the Pinoy Kpop Star (details below) whom won by Miss Kristine Solis.

The Caravan

The Korean Cultural Center and Korean Tourism Organization, in cooperation with UP Asian Center, will be holding a Korean Culture Caravan on July 13, 2013 at UP Diliman. 

Activities include lectures about Korean Culture, free Sagunja and Fan Dance class amd performances by Dasuri Choi and KCC Traditional Fan Dance Team!

The Korean Culture Caravan concept will be a combination of KCC Photo Exhibit, KCC library collection exhibit, lectures, special classes and performances pertaining to the 21 authentic-icons of Korean Culture namely:

In addition to the emerging Korean Pop Culture Phenomenon, this exhibit will also highlight some collection pertaining to Hallyu or the Korean Wave.
