Have you ever had one of those weekends where you just needed to get away? That’s exactly how I felt when I stumbled upon Seashell Island Beach Resort. It wasn’t planned, but sometimes the best adventures are the ones that happen spontaneously.

It all started with a long holiday break and an open weekend—a rare combo. My friends and I were lounging around, debating what to do, when someone said, "Why not just go somewhere? No overthinking, no endless planning."

Without overthinking, we packed our essentials, jumped in the car, and hit the road, going to Samal. The drive there felt like an adventure, with stunning coastal views and little roadside stops for snacks and selfies. It was as if the journey itself was preparing us for what was to come.

When we arrived, I was immediately enchanted. The ocean waters sparkled under the sun, and the resort exuded a laid-back charm that made me feel like I’d stepped into a postcard. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and warm hospitality, which instantly made us feel at home.

The resort’s restaurant was a delightful surprise. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, showcasing the best of the sea. From grilled fish to shrimp pasta to tropical fruit shakes, every meal was a treat. If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love indulging in the local flavors here.

But the real hidden gem? The bar area. With its breezy open-air setup and view of the ocean, it was the perfect spot to unwind. Whether you're sipping on a classic mojito, a fresh mango daiquiri, or a cold local beer, every drink comes with a side of stunning sunset views. The bartenders were friendly and even whipped up a few off-menu cocktails that quickly became our favorites.

Seashell Island Beach Resort truly lives up to its name. I lost track of time swimming and floating in the gentle waves. For the more adventurous, there were kayaks and paddleboards to rent. I even tried paddleboarding for the first time. After a few clumsy falls, I finally got the hang of it and paddled around, soaking in the beauty of the resort from a new perspective.
