Stepping into Dear Joe

As a coffee lover, I'm always on the hunt for cozy cafes that serve a perfect cup of coffee. Recently, I stumbled upon Dear Joe Frontera on my Facebook and knew that it's nestled around our neighborhood. It is said to be the first letter-writing cafe that originally had some branches in Luzon and it is now here in Davao. Eager to explore this new coffee spot, I decided to give it a try.

Walking into Dear Joe, I was greeted by a friendly barista with a warm smile. The cozy and contemporary interior immediately made me feel at ease. The soft lighting, comfortable seating, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the air created a welcoming atmosphere. As a first-time customer, I was initially overwhelmed by the extensive menu and was amazed by the wide variety of options you can choose. From classic espressos and flavorful lattes to creative seasonal drinks, Dear Joe seemed to cater to every coffee preference.

I decided to try their Iced Hazelnut Latte, as far as taste, it was a bit too sweet for me, "my fault", where I should have instructed the barista with a not overpowering sugar level, and with the nuttiness that again pairs well with most espresso but overall, it was a delicious blend.

The place is spacious and comfortable, with seats spaced quite well. The ambiance is enhanced by light with non-intrusive music playing in the background. It's the kind of place where you can lose track of time, be engrossed in a good book, or engage in conversation with friends.

What makes Dear Joe extra special is the designated corner for creativity. Nestled in one corner of the cafe, there was a small area with a wall full of letters. Customers were encouraged to write down their thoughts, quotes, or whatever you would want to. This interactive element allowed their customers to connect with other coffee enthusiasts and feel like a part of the Dear Joe community.

All in all, is a perfect place to strike a pose with its picturesque-instagrammable interior, Dear Joe is a nice place to hang out with friends or just chill out by yourself. With its good coffee, decent food selection, and excellent service, it’s definitely worth a visit. So next time you're in the area, be sure to stop by and experience the delightful Dear Joe for yourself!
